The Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology has been established on 262 hectare piece of land and has fully well-maintained, furnished one of the best designed buildings with infrastructures and well arranged departments, colleges and laboratories, research centers/stations/farms and extension centres for smooth discharge of its functions and attaining the objectives of the University. It has residential facilities to the Vice Chancellor/Professor/Scientist and other University staff and separate hostel facilities to boys and girls, and also has a Guest House for University visitors.
The University has on six agriculture research centres/stations/farms and one sport stadium in main campus whereas three Agriculture Research Centers/Stations/Farms, and six Krishi Gyan Kendras (KGKs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) are spread out in different locations in Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad and Bareilly divisions.
Class Room
The University has fully well maintained class rooms furnished with white/green boards and comfortable seating arrangements. Every department has LCD projector for Audio Visual Teaching and presentation with video cameras It enhances the University instructional and training capabilities.
Library
The University library is the backbone of academic and research activities of the University. The library houses a collection of text and reference books, journals, magazines audio/videos, CD-ROMs, research report, agricultural report and industrial reports. It has a collection of books in all areas and branches required to all departments and colleges of the University.
The library is fully classified, catalogued and users can search for information at their own. Photo copying facilities are available within the library for user convenience. The library subscribes to the journals of national and international repute and covers the entire gamut of agriculture and technology etc. The library has a good collection of annual reports of various government and agriculture institutions and industries. The library has spacious reading room area and comfortable sitting arrangements in reading room which will encourages the readers to spend more time in the library.
Computer Center with Internet Facilities
The University has one of the best designed and equipped computer centre with the network of Pentium IV machines adequately matched and supported by a host of printers, scanners, modems and other peripherals, round-the clock internet facility to the users which mixes well with strong software support in the area of advance computing and programming, agricultural and business applications and data base management, operating system like Dos, Windows 98, window NT, Window 2000 and other Application software like MS-Office, Coral draw, Oracles etc. to expose to students to the contemporary every where they require, not only the students specializing in information technology but also almost all users can work and get help any time they require.
Laboratories and Lab Equipment
The every departments and colleges of the University has its separate research laboratory to provide practical training of the students and has research facilities to the research scholars, Scientists, Professors etc.
All the Laboratories of the University are well maintained and well equipped and ready to provide modern research facilities to students, research scholars, and scientists. The Ch. Charan Singh College of Agriculture has 12 Laboratories in each department and College of Biotechnology has 17 laboratories.
Research Centers/Stations
The University has a director of Research for conducting, both fundamental and applied, in all the facilities. The Director of Research co-ordinate all the Research activities (on campus and off campus.) The University has six research centers in main campus and 3-research center in off campus. These research centers provides practical exposer to the students and research opportunities to the scientists.
The University has three boy's hostels and one girl’s hostel in the University campus.
Hostel Accommodation
The Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology is the fully residential University. The University has three boy's hostels and one girl’s hostels. The Hostel accommodations will be available separate for boys and girls in beautifully landscaped area with in the University campus. Recreational and canteen facilities would be available. Student will have a personal bedroom well equipped with best lamp, cupboard, table and chair etc. Making a stay of student’s completely home life.
Central Instrumentation Hall
The University has central instrumentation Hall to repair and maintenance of scientific/electronic instruments of the different department/colleges of the University. The Technocrats of central instrumentation hall has proficiency to repair all refrigeration. Appliances/ machines, electrical machines, motors transformers etc. In addition to regular work as mentioned above the central instrumentation hall has to under take from time to time major jobs like fabrication of specified equipment needed by scientists meets/ Kisan Melas and shifting/renovation etc.
Auditorium
The University has two well furnished and best-designed auditorium for meeting, guest lecture, seminars, presentation, demonstrate. The sitting capacity of the one Auditorium is 250 and another is 400 members.
Workshop
The University has a workshop for practical training to the students of the University along with fabrication work of wooden furniture and steel structures. They are given small jobs for fabrication, which in values different types of operations like welding, casting, carpentry, black smith job, etc.
Cafeteria
The University has an aesthetically designed cafeteria, which serves wholesome meats to the students, staff and faculty at subsidized rates.
University Security force (USF)
It is a most essential and responsible segment of the University. The entire security is directly under control of the H'ble Vice-Chancellor of the University. System is consists of Ex-Army, Paramilitary and police force personnel, so that benefits of their Basic physical training Arms training, Technical Training, Fire fighting training and experience strengthen the force and best use of all for the good behalf of the University. Some basic duties and responsibilities of University Security Force are as under :
a) To generate the feeling of security among all staff including scientists/officer etc.
b) To make secure all movable/immovable properties of the University.
c) Liaisoning with police and administration as and when required in the best interest of the University.
d) All fire fighting arrangement.
e) Intelligence/Vigilance Reporting.
f) Farm/ Research produce at Godown/Khailihan and also supply thereof.
g) All necessary arrangement of VIP's/VVIP's security as and when required in the premises of the University.
Medical Facilities
The Health Check up to the students is performed by experts medical practitioners. The University provides van service to Hospital under emergency.
